Beyond Beck Road II Sept 2023
Diddy’s Bar on the corner of Beck Road organised The Flag Project, asking members of the local community to create a portrait of a family member, friends or someone famous. My contribution is a study of John Travolta portrayal of Tony a a young dancer in Stayin Alive 1983.
Beyond Beck Road is a public art event where the Street becomes an exhibition space for the extended community, reflecting its location in the heart of Hackney as a vibrant and culturally expansive borough, this project will reach beyond a traditional gallery audience, positively impacting the broader community. The event focuses on the present community and its extended artiftic and creative connections, working in conjunction with Open House London to highlight the road's significant heritage.
